Ultrabooks to account for 20-25% of laptop shipments in Q4 2012?

Sources at Taiwanese notebook supply chain companies told DigiTimes that ultrabooks are expected to account for 20-25 percent of the laptop market in Q4 2012 based on current market conditions. Intel previously set a goal of 40 percent, but component firms think that's too optimistic, and that it will be hard to best Apple's MacBook Air.
The sources pointed out that most suppliers are aggressively developing components for ultrabooks, but actual order volumes have so far been below their expectations. Although the suppliers all understand that ultrabook are still testing the water, weakening growth of the traditional notebook market and dropping profits have prompted them to put great hopes on the success of ultrabooks.
