Sharp will launch the world's largest LCD TV on August 1 - the 65-inch Aquos LC-65GE1 LCD TV display.

The display will feature a full-spec high-definition LCD panel, to give users beautiful, life-like, high-definition images on an impressively large screen that should far surpass other video systems, regardless of the brightness of the room.

The 65-inch LCD TV will sell for 1.68 million yen (approx. $15,500). Sharp says it will ship about 300 units a month.
