DigiTimes received word that Asustek is expected to outsource 5-6 million motherboard to Cal-Comp in 2012:
Asustek Computer has recently added Taiwan-based Cal-Comp Electronics, an affiliate of Compal Electronics, as its motherboard manufacturing partner and is expected to outsource 5-6 million motherboards to Cal-Comp in 2012, out of Asustek's total shipment forecast of 24.5 million units for 2012, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.

As for 2011, after successfully overcoming market obstacles including Intel's defective chipset incident in January; suffering from material shortages due to Japan's earthquake in March; Europe bond crisis in mid-year; and a hard drive shortage because of Thailand's floods in October, Asustek is expected to complete the year with a shipment volume of 23 million units and achieve its goal.
