Rambus has secured a patent licensing agreement with Broadcom over the use of integrated circuit (IC) technology, marking yet another of the company's lucrative deals.
Broadcom, which makes semiconductors for the wireless and broadband communications industry, agreed to pay intellectual property holder Rambus to use its patented IC technology for the next five years.
The deal also resolves all outstanding claims between the two companies, including a lawsuit Rambus filed against Broadcom for alleged patent infringement last December.
