Mandrake 9.0 First Impressions

Posted on Thursday, October 03 2002 @ 12:02:53 CEST by

RatedPC has wrote up their first impressions of Mandrake 9.0 :
This is as far as I have used Mandrake 9.0. While my initial impression wasn't very positive, I remember that I have had to go through the same setup on previous versions of Mandrake. The more I use Mandrake 9.0 and learn about its new features, the more impressed I get. Should you upgrade? If you have the time, definetly. If not, wait and hope that the good people at Mandrake improve 9.1 and fix the current issues. Remember, this is a .0 release, so you should think twice before installing it on a mission critical system. Otherwise, I think the Mandrake team has done an excellent job with 9.0. Congratulations!
