Some rumoured specifications for Nintendo's Revolution console are spreading on the Web. It is said that the console will be powered by two IBM PowerPC G5 1.8GHz processors, a 600MHz graphics core from ATI and a 7.1 digital sound chipset.

The Revolution will have 128MB of high speed 1T SRAM as system memory, along with 256MB DRAM and the graphics card will feature 12MB high speed embedded DRAM (eDRAM). The console will use 6GB DVD discs, which were created by Panasonic. The console won't support HD because it would increase the cost, and Nintendo seems to believe that HD isn't necessary to create brilliant looking games with excellent gameplay. You can find more info about the specifications at Gamesindustry
