Sony confirmed today that the European launch of the PSP will follow in September, and they also promise to deliver enough quantity. The company further adds that it will have 20 games and 10 movies available for the PSP at the date of launch.

The Sony PlayStation Portable is already selling in Japan and the United States. The European launch date was pushed back in order to deliver enough quantity to the North American market.

Sony also says that by Christmas about 50 games will be available for the PSP, both from Sony and other game developers.

So far Sony has already sold 100,000 movies on the UMD disc format for the Sony PSP. The movies cost between $19 and $29 in the US. European prices aren't available yet.
