ShackNews reports EA is working on a Mac version of Origin. Additionally, the company is also going to add achievements and free-to-play games to its Origin platform. The upgrades will arrive later this year.
Origin already has 21 million users, according to Electronic Arts, and it is hoping to bring in more people with the announcement that EA's answer to Steam and other online stores will be expanding to Mac, Android and Facebook.

Peter Moore, EA's chief operating officer, told Gamescom 2012 attendees that Origin will also be adding achievements and free-to-play games, as well as more improvements in an effort to continue the growth of the service.
