A leaked roadmap reveals Intel's Thunderbolt plans for the next two years. Sometime in Q1 2013 the chip giant will introduce the dual-channel Redwood Ridge 2C and the quad-channel Redwood Ridge 4C. Power consumption will be reduced as well as size, enabling Redwood Ridge to be used on more mobile devices.

The Falcon Ridge 2C/4C chips are expected to follow in late 2013, doubling the bandwidth to 20Gbps and delivering DisplayPort 1.2 support.
