Among most tech enthusiasts, Microsoft's Internet Explorer browser is perceived as a vulnerable browser, but according to a study by NSS Labs, IE9 is the best web browser to use for keeping your PC malware-free.

Neowin writes the report found that IE9 blocks 95 percent of malicious activity, while Chrome comes in at a distand second place, blocking only 33 percent of malware. Safari and Firefox scored even worse, these browsers blocked less than 6 percent of malware.
In addition, NSS Labs says that IE9 prevented 96.6 percent of click fraud malware in its tests, compared to just 1.6 percent for Chrome, 0.8 percent for Firefox and 0.7 percent for Safari. The research team conducted its research between December 2, 2011 and May 25, 2012.
NSS Labs claims this was an independent research that was not sponsored by any browser maker.
