VIA Labs to reveal new USB 3.0 flash drive controllers in December

DigiTimes reports VIA Labs will reveal the new VIA VL752-series USB 3.0 flash drive controllers in December. This new solution is made on a 85nm process and targets 2-channel designs. It supports 19nm, 20nm and 21nm processes.
In addition, VIA Labs is capable of making USB 3.0 host controllers. The firm recently announced two new solutions, the four-port VIA VL805 and two-port VIA VL806, which comply with the Universal Serial Bus 3.0 specification and Intel's eXtensible Host Controller Interface (xHCI) 1.0 specification, and add native support for Windows 8.
