DigiTimes writes Foxconn refuted market rumors that it may have issues with its goal to incorporate one million robots into its production. The electronics manufacturing giant said the automation effort is a long-term development strategy and added that the project is still on track.
Foxconn previously revealed plans to adopt one million robots by 2014 to replace manual labor; however, due to obstacles in technology and costs, rumors has circulated that Foxconn's plan may be affected.

In addition to Foxconn, component suppliers including Foxlink, Aces Connectors and Hsihoum also plan to automate production to raise efficiency and reduce labor costs.
