Intel plans to cancel the high-end mobile 955XM chipset for its next-gen mobile Centrino 3 platform which is codenamed Napa. Originally the company planned to launch three Centrino 3 chipsets; the 945PM, 945GM and the 955XM.

The first two would feature support for 2GB dual-channel DDR2 memory while the 955XM would support up to 4GB.

However, this changed as the 945PM and 945GM are now planned to support 4GB dual-channel DDR2 memory.
