NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT to be launched on Aug 11

VR-Zone heard from its sources that NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT will feature 20 pipelines instead of 24 like the GeForce 7800 GTX. The vertex shader will likely remain at 8 and ROP (raster operators) at 16.

Another suprise is that the 7800GT will be clocked at 400MHz, instead of 335MHz like earlier reports mentioned.

The GeForce 7800GT will be launched on August 11 at QuakeCon 2005 and will have a MRSP of $449.

A GeForce 7800 Standard card will follow when NVIDIA has cleared its 6800 inventory.
