Razer has entered the professional market with the introduction of the Pro Solutions suite of Mac-compatible peripherals. The products will be unveiled for the first time at the MacWorld Expo in Boston, booth #429.

With its distinctive design and piercing blue-white light, the Pro Solutions v1.6 mouse use the same proprietary Razer Precision optical engine as the award-winning Razer Diamondback gaming mouse. This engine is rated at 1600 dpi, double the precision of a standard mouse. At 6400 frames per second, the v1.6 is also twice as fast as a regular computer mouse. The mouse also features an "Always On" mode -- the optical sensor never powers down, providing the user instantaneous response at all times -- as well as seven independently programmable buttons with multiple macros for the ultimate in customization.

Accompanying the v1.6 mouse is the Pro Solutions ProPad, a mouse pad based on the Razer eXactMat favored by many professional gamers. The dual-sided design is made from anodized, abrasion resistant, anti-reflective aluminum for long life, and features two distinct mousing surfaces for the varied demands of the engineer or graphic artist. The unique shape and size of the ProPad (10.4"x13"x 0.1") makes using the mouse more efficient, due to the increased surface area compared to standard mouse pads.

"The Pro Solutions line makes sense for the Mac community," says Robert Krakoff, president of Razer USA. "Using both the mouse and mouse pad dramatically increases productivity, as much as 30%. Razer peripherals are built with leading-edge technology and ergonomic design, and like our other products, the Pro Solutions look cool and perform. Just like the Mac G5."

The Pro Solutions v1.6 mouse will retail for $59.99 and the ProPad for $29.99.
