Penn, Schoen and Berland Associates polled consumers regarding the next-generation DVD formats and found out that an overwhelming amount of users prefers Blu-ray over HD DVD.
The Blu-ray Disc Association said that this side-by-side comparison showed 58% of 1,200 people surveyed picked their format while 16% preferred HD-DVD. Of those who were “extremely interested” in purchasing one of the two competing formats, 66% favored Blu-ray versus 15% for HD-DVD.
