The Inquirer today confirms NVIDIA will launch its GeForce 7800 GT on August 11. And just like the GeForce 7800 GTX this won't be a paper launch, the cards will be available immediately.

The GeForce 7800 GT is expected to ship for $399 and NVIDIA's partners expect the price might drop fast to much less than that.

Exact details aren't sure but sources hint the 7800GT will have less than 24 pixel pipelines. It may be 20 pipes but it could even be less. The core is expected to run at 400MHz.

Last week Inno3D accidentally posted the GeForce 7800 GT specifications on its website. They have already deleted the page but it listed the GeForce 7800 GT with a 400MHz core and 20 pixel pipelines.
