ATI Catalyst 5.7 driver performance

ATI released the Catalyst 5.7 drivers last week and Elite Bastards checked out the performance. They put the X700 Pro to test.
Another month invariably means another driver from ATI, and July is no different, seeing as it does the release of CATALYST 5.7. This time around, the main excitement should be for those of you still running 64 and 128MB boards, be they AGP or PCI Express, as ATI promise big performance gains for such cards.


They conclude with stating that ATI's new drivers do give you some performance improvements in some games and benchmarks, but you shouldn't be fooled by the release notes that promise fantastic improvement. You can find their full report on the 5.7 drivers over here
