Intel's Francois Piednoel published a picture on Twitter that reveals the performance of the upcoming 22nm Atom Z3770 "Bay Trail" tablet processor in Cinebench 11.5. The 1.47GHz chip scores 1.47 points in this test, quite impressive for a SoC with a power consumption of between 1.7W and 3W.

For comparison, Intel's current-generation Z2760 chip scores around 0.56 points in this test, making the new Bay Trail chip nearly thrice as fast! The performance of the Z3770 is roughly equal to that of AMD's A4-5000, which has a 15W TDP, and almost 40 percent higher than the 1.09 points scored by the Core 2 Duo SL9400, the CPU of Apple's 2010 MacBook Air.
