Motherboard makers such as Asus and Gigabyte, ass well as Intel, are preparing to launch 955X CrossFire-enabled motherboards.
In addition, ATI will debut two CrossFire chipsets. The RD400 for Intel processors and the RD480 for AMD processors.
Another interesting tidbit: motherboard makers report demand for sub-$60 motherboards is rising. These motherboards now account for 60 percent of the market while high-end motherboards with prices of more than $75 account for only 20 percent of the market.
