Worldcom op rand van faillisement

Volgens Wall Street Journal staat Worldcom op het punt om failliet te gaan. Dit zou voor grote problemen kunnen zorgen aangezien rond de 40% van het internetverkeer over de infrastructuur van Worldcom loopt.

Worldcom kwam een maand eerder al negatief in het licht toen een fraude van 4 miljard dollar werd ontdekt. Na deze bekendmaking werden er al 17 000 werknemers ontslagen.
