HP to launch new notebooks in Asia Pacific to regain marketshare

Inventec, Arima Computer and Asus are expected to gain more notebook orders from HP, DigiTimes wrote, as it's expected HP will launch more limited models aimed at the Asian-Pasific region.

These new models will target specific market segments and will feature slim profiles and built-in multimedia capabilities.

Last quarter HP's notebook market share dipped to 12.3 percent in Asia Pacific, while Lenovo bumped its share to 19 percent.

Two days ago HP launched the new Compaq Presario B1800 series notebook and the new iPAQ hw6515 PDA. Here's a look at the specifications of these two devices:
