ASUS teases the GeForce GTX 980 ROG Matrix Platinum

ASUS shows off its new flagship graphics card, the GeForce GTX 980 ROG Matrix Platinum. This factory overclocked video card features a DirectCU II cooler with two CoolTech fans and 10mm diameter matt-black heatpipes.

The GeForce GTX 980 GPU's base clock isn't revealed but ASUS mentions it has a 1342MHz Boost and the 4GB GDDR5 memory is clocked at 7010MHz. The ROG Matrix Platinum card features DIGI+ VRM power control with 14-phase Super Alloy Power and Black Metallic capacitors, a ROG color-coded load indicator, a backplate, and memory defroster and safe mode features for extreme overclockers. Pricing and availability is unknown.
