DigiTime writes ASUS shipped 22 million motherboards in 2014, a year-on-year increase of 6.3 percent. The site has no figures for the other top motherboard makers but we assume these figures will be published in the near future. Late last year the site wrote about how ASUS was aggressively cutting prices to defend its number one position in the market, a strategy expected to cause great pain to smaller motherboard players like MSI, ASRock and ECS.
Asustek in 2014 shipped 20.1 million notebooks (with an on-year growth of 6.9%), two million desktops, nearly 9.4 million tablets and over eight million smartphones.

Asustek posted own-brand sales revenues of NT$38.430 billion (US$1.21 billion) for December, slipping 15.27% sequentially but rising 6.32% on year, and fourth-quarter 2014 own-brand sales totaled NT$126.921 billion, increasing 11.84% sequentially and 6.23% on year.
