The Inq spoke with the head of ATI's workstation business at Siggraph and they got a strong indication the company will unveil a R520 based FireGL card this fall.
ATI said that just a few quarters ago its FireGL card was in every eighth system sold while it’s now in almost every second. ATI reached its numbers with almost eighty per cent of mobile workstation business and that’s where it compensates for some smaller numbers in desktop units.
