UPDATE: April 7, 2015: Contrary to what TPU reports, the specification sheet of the P2416D reveals this is actually an IPS screen! The spec sheet also reveals this panel offers a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 nits brightness, 8ms typical GTG response time, and 178-degrees horizontal/vertical viewing angles.

Sometime later this month Dell will start shipping the P2416D, a new 24" LCD display with a 2560 x 1440 pixels (WQHD) resolution. Unfortunately, it's based on a TN-film panel but I guess you can't get everything considering the screen's $369.99 MSRP.

It offers 99 percent coverage of the sRGB gamut, wide viewing angles (no further details mentioned), a four-port USB 2.0 hub and a stand with tilting and height adjustment.

Inputs include DisplayPort 1.2 (required for 2560 x 1440 pixels at 60Hz), HDMI 1.4 (native resolution at 30Hz) and D-sub (lower than native resolution).
