posted today that NVIDIA's GeForce 7800 GT will likely cost $449. The card will be launched on August 11th at QuakeCon and will have 20 pipelines.
Nvidia already did the same thing with Geforce 7800 GTX and priced it more than people expected as it doesn't have a real competitor, yet. I believe that Nvidia is using the same tactics all over again as it decided to price its card a bit higher as it knows that people are willing to pay for it.
The GeForce 7800 GT will be available immediately at launch.
