The Inq
writes HIS is planning to launch its X800GT graphics card, the HIS X800GT IceQ II Turbo. It's core will be running at 500MHz and the 128MB memory at 1000MHz. The card has a DVI, VGA and S-video out.
HIS will overclock the card with its special and quite easy to use software, its going to be a matter of pressing a button. The tool is called HIS I turbo and will let you change the core speed, memory clock and even the fan speed. You will be able to make this card very quiet or just set the fan to auto made. This automated mode will speed up the fan if the core gets warmer it might be a good idea for overclockers. For chaps like us, you just set your cooler noise to what suits you and make it constant.
According documents from HIS the X800GT will score 3520 in 3DMark while its closest competitor, the GeForce 6600 LE, scores only 3106 marks. The Radeon X800GT with 256MB memory is said to score 4124 marks.
