Marketshare statistics from StatCounter and NetMarketShare reveal the adoption of Windows 10 is still relatively low for a free update. According to StatCounter, Windows 10 now has a marketshare of 9 pecent, up from 7.64 percent the month before, whereas NetMarketShare puts it at only 7.94 percent, up from 6.63 percent versus the previous month.

Perhaps this will change soon as Microsoft is adding Windows 10 to the Windows Update system as an important update. This means Windows 10 is becoming more of an opt-out than an opt-in installation.
