Thermalright shows off its new Le Grand Macho, a large heatsink capable of passively cooling CPUs with a TDP of up to 95W. The heatsink measures 150mm x 125mm x 159mm (L x W x H) and weighs 900g, it features a C1100 nickel-plated copper base, seven 6mm diameter heatpipes a large fin array with 35 aluminium fins and a stylish black top.

While touted as a passive cooling solution, it's possible to enhance the cooling capacity to 300W by using two optional 120mm fans. Some tests illustrating the temperatures you can achieve by passively cooling a 95W TDP CPU can be found over here.

Features:
  • Silent cooling replacement for Intel stock coolers (0dB without fan).
  • Offset base for better VGA card and memory clearance (PCI-e and RAM sockets)
  • Active cooling (with fan) up to 300watt thermal design power (TDP)
  • Black top to complement build aesthetics
  • Enlarged copper base to ensure 100% contact with all CPUs including Haswell (2011-3 processors).
  • Long neck screwdriver included for easy mounting.
  • Motherboard Compatibility:
    Intel: Socket LGA 775/1150/1151/1155/1156/1366/2011/2011-3
    AMD: Socket AM2/AM2+/AM3/AM3+/FM1/FM2/FM2+
