Bloomberg reports NVIDIA lost its patent case against Samsung and Qualcomm. NVIDIA alleged that the two firms violated a number of graphics patents, but two months ago an ITC judge ruled that Samsung and Qualcomm didn't infringe two NVIDIA GPU patents and rendered a third invalid. The U.S. International Trade Commission upheld on Monday the judge's findings and cleared Samsung and Qualcomm of wrongdoing.

NVIDIA is disappointed by the ruling and said it will consider an appeal.
“While today’s ruling ends this particular case in the ITC, we remain firm in our belief that our patents are valid and have been infringed,” Nvidia said in a statement posted on its website.
Samsung retaliated with its own patent claims, a judge wil release his findings about that case on December 22nd:
Nvidia, based in Santa Clara, California, said it filed the patent-infringement complaint after two years of licensing talks failed. Samsung retaliated with its own patent claims, and a judge in that case is scheduled to release his findings on Dec. 22.
