CryENGINE V versus CryENGINE 3 performance compared (video)

Posted on Tuesday, March 29 2016 @ 14:46:53 CEST by

DSO Gaming came across a video from club4ghz tat compares the performance of CryENGINE V and CryENGINE 3. The video below showcases the Woodland Tech Demo and illustrates that the new engine delivers about 20fps more than the old one.

There is also a video comparing DirectX 11 versus DirectX 12 performance, this one shows weird results as DX12 runs slower than DX11:
For what is worth, club4ghz used an NVIDIA GTX780Ti, so we don’t know whether this has anything to do with NVIDIA’s GPUs or not. According to reports, the DX12 mode in CRYENGINE V runs worse even on AMD’s GPUs.
