Windows Insider Program head Gabe Aul announces he's retiring from this position. Ten months ago he moved to the Engineering System Team of the Windows and Devices Group (WDG) while also staying on as the head of the Insider Program. Over the last couple of months, Aul realized it's hard to combine both functions so yesterday he officially handed over the Windows Insider Program "red button" to Dona Sarkar. Aul's team produces the builds that are released under the Insider Program so he won't be going far, but he'll be in a more behind-the-scenes role. Full details at Neowin.
It would be a massive understatement to say that Gabe Aul has been a good sport in dealing with the Twitter masses. Under his watch, Microsoft has released 35 PC and 22 Mobile builds over the span of 18 months, but that's not all, because every single day he was asked about new builds and on most days, he responded.
