In an effort to upgrade as many people as possible to Windows 10, Microsoft just rolled out a new upgrade offer that entitles you to a free Dell Inspiron 15 laptop if the company can't offer you a same-day upgrade to the new OS.

There are some restrictions of course, the offer only applies to the US and Canada and it only covers eligible PCs that meet the Windows 10 upgrade requirements. Basically, if you check in at a Microsoft store before 12 noon local time, you'll get a free laptop if the device isn't upgraded to Windows 10 before the close of business.

If your device isn't eligible for a Windows 10 upgrade, Microsoft offers to recycle it and will give you $150 towards the purchase of a new PC. Both offers expire on July 29, 2016.
