Samsung foresees arrival of HBM3 by 2019/2020

VideoCardz also dug up some details about the next-generation HBM. First there's a slide from the Intel Developer Forum, with some basic details about what Samsung foresees for HBM3. The company explains the plan is to extend capacity/bandwidth two-fold or more, while sticking to a similar power budget as HBM2. The slide puts HBM3 in the 2019/2020 timeframe.
