And here we have yet another RGB LED product. It's really the hype of the mid-2010s, manufacturers are putting RGB LEDs wherever they can, whether its fans, computer cases, video cards or even vibrators.

The latest product to get the RGB LED treatment is the NZXT Aer RGB, this is a line of PWM fans available in 120mm and 140mm sizes. The fans feature fluid dynamic bearing and are compatible with HUE+ and CAM. The fans can show static colors but also offer impressive RGB LED light effects like breating, marquee and spectrum wave.
Designed to integrate seamlessly with HUE+, the Aer RGB fan provides optimal airflow and advanced lighting customizations. Group and daisy chain up to five fans per channel from the HUE+ for extensive lighting modes that work in perfect harmony. Select and modify over 10 lighting effects with ease using CAM’s software interface. The Aer RGB fans feature fluid dynamic bearings and winglet tips that deliver enhanced performance and minimize noise levels.

  • HUE+ and CAM-compatible for seamless software controls and customizations
  • Daisy chain and group fans together for additional lighting effects
  • PWM fan with optimized cooling and whisper-low 22 dBA
  • Fluid dynamic bearing engineered to last over six years
  • Uniform light dispersion with unique light guide design
  • HUE+ is required and sold separately.
  • Be prepared to pay a pretty penny, NZXT says the 120mm Aer RGB fans will ship in October for $29.99 a piece! For the fancy light effects, you also need the NZXT Hue+ controller and this device sells for $59.99 in a bundle with four LED strips. The company will also offer a HUE+ bundle with two 120mm Aer RGB fans but that will set you back $79.99.

It looks nice but this is getting ridiculously expensive for a pair of fans.
