Gigabyte has plans to expand the use of its Aorus gaming brand to the video card and motherboard market. So far the company has used this brand to market gaming laptops, mice, keyboards and other peripherals, but DigiTimes reports Gigabyte will soon use it to compete with the ASUS ROG and MSI Gaming series.

The first Aorus branded motherboards are expected in early January 2017, these will use the new Intel 200 series chipsets for Kaby Lake. Graphics cards with Aorus branding will follow later, when AMD and NVIDIA roll out new high-end models.
