VideoCardz has another treat for GPU fans, they just published most of the AMD Vega GPU architecture slide deck. The Vega architecture will be officially presented later today at CES 2017. As expected, this event is about the technology, AMD will not be showing off any specific cards as the real launch is still some time away from us.
There are dozens of slides, you can view them all at VideoCardz. The slides reveal some information about how the new NCU branch builds upon what was delivered by GCN, and how it will alleviate its weaknesses. Vega is expected to have two HBM2 stacks, resulting in 16GB of memory. Unfortunately, the presentation contains a lot of fluff and marketing, and not a lot of hard details.
