Later today, Microsoft is expected to reveal a new Surface Laptop at a press event in New York. This new 13.5-inch Surface notebook will run Windows 10 S, a new cut-down version of Windows designed to compete with the Google Chrome OS. One of the biggest restrictions of Windows 10 S (previously known as Windows 10 Cloud) is that the operating system will exclusively run Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps from the Windows Store, thereby breaking support for legacy software.
