Cowon's A2 portable media player with 4-inch LCD

Cowon has launched the new A2 portable media player which is available with a 20GB or 30GB built-in HDD. The device has a huge 4-inch 16:9 LCD display and is able to playback DivX, XviD, MPEG4 and WMV9 video. It also supports MP3, OGG, WMA(ASF) and WAV audio files and JPG, PNG and BMP image files.

There's also an AV input adapter which allows you to record audio and video, as well as a feature to schedule recordings. Cowon says the battery of this device will last 10 hours will playing video and 18 hours during audio playback on a 5 hour charge.

The Cowon A2 20GB and 30GB will be available for respectively $450 and $520 in Korea next month and will likely be shipped to the rest of the globe later.
