Archos AV500 PMP with 4-inch display and 100GB HDD

Archos has added the AV500 portable media player to its website. This device comes with either a 30GB or 100GB HDD and has a large 4-inch 480x272 pixels 262k colour LCD display and a TV output.

This feature-packed portable media player supports MPEG-4, DivX, AVI and WM9 video. It also supports MP3, WMA, DRM and WAV audio files. There's also a photo viewer which supports JPEG and BMP. Additionally, it also allows you to record both video and audio.

Archos promises a 15 hours battery life while playing music and 4.5 for watching video on the LCD display. More specifications can be found here. You can also use this device as a camcorder by purchasing the small Archos AV500 digital mini-cam pal to record directly into MPEG4.
