Another update about custom Radeon RX Vega cards, this time from ASUS. The company was one of the first firms to show off a custom Vega card, prototype cards of the Radeon RX Vega 64 STRIX were handed to select tech sites in August.

That model was supposed to launch in September but it still hasn't hit the market. German tech site PC Games Hardware received word that the ROG Radeon RX Vega 64 STRIX is still slated for a 2017 launch.

Additionally, ASUS also confirmed they've finalized the specifications of their ROG STRIX Radeon RX Vega 56 video card. Final test samples are expected next week, but it's unknown when we can expect these in retail stores. ASUS says both models will ship "in the course of 2017" but offers no further specifications.

Details about the clockspeeds or the suggested retail pricing aren't known.
