The chip giant already launched ultra-low-power Coffee Lake chips for laptops and a month ago it rolled out Kaby Lake-G, which features Vega-based integrated graphics from AMD.
Coffee Lake-H will feature higher-end parts and is suitable for gaming laptops. These parts will be offered in up to six-core configurations. The rumored top model is the Core i9-8950HK, this version reportedly has six cores, twelve threads, a base clock of around 2.9GHz, and a Turbo of around 4.8GHz. The TDP is expected to be in the 45W range, same as the Kaby Lake-H series.
