Sharp starts mass production of dual-view LCD display

Sharp announced at the IFA show in Berlin that it has begun mass production of its new dual-view LCD display which displays different images depending on which direction the screen is being viewed.

Michael Kurpies, Sharp's director of marketing, said Opel will test the dual-view display in its new Vectra Caravan model in Germany. The driver will be able to use the screen for navigation while the passenger will be able to see DVD movies.
