Apple talks about iTunes

Steve Jobs kicked off the special Apple event today by talking about iTunes. He said more than 600 million songs have been sold and each day they sell more than 1.8 million songs.

iTunes has a 82 percent marketshare and their are more than 2 million songs listed on iTunes. Their are more than 15,000 podcast listed and more than 7 million Podcast subscriptions have been made to date.

Jobs further added 10 million people have an iTunes account, this means everyone on average bought 60 songs.
