There's a rumor going around that NVIDIA is working on yet another GeForce GTX 1050 series card. The company already has the regular 2GB model and a more powerful Ti card with 4GB GDDR5 memory.

Now there's a report from Expreview that NVIDIA is going to launch a GeForce GTX 1050 with 3GB GDDR5 memory. This would require a 92-bit memory bus, rather than the 128-bit variant found on the other two GTX 1050 series cards.

It could be that this is another China exclusive, similar to the 5GB version of the GTX 1060.
