VideoCardz reports another sighting of Intel's eight-core Coffee Lake. Keen eyes spotted the chip in the SiSoft Sandra benchmark database. It's a prototype with a 2.6GHz frequency. Some sort of announcement from Intel is expected at or near Computex 2018, so more news should follow soon.
Even though it says Kabylake, everyone knows that Coffeelake is basically Kabylake on steroids. The new processor has been tested on KBL S system (which stands for Kabylake S), it basically means we are looking at the same old LGA1151 platform.
