Logitech unveiled the completely redesigned QuickCam for Notebooks Pro webcam, featuring Logitech's most powerful new webcam technology in an extremely compact -- and sophisticated -- design.

The webcam body itself is only 2 3/8-inches tall, less than 1-inch wide and 3/8-inches deep. Inside this sleek, powerful webcam is a true 1.3 megapixel sensor capable of providing high-quality video and still images. The QuickCam for Notebooks Pro also features: Logitech RightLight technology, providing superior video performance in a variety of lighting conditions; Logitech RightSound technology with acoustic echo cancellation software; and Logitech Video Effects software, enabling people to transform themselves into animated characters or wear animated accessories as they use their webcams for live video communications.

The flagship of Logitech's notebook webcam family, the QuickCam for Notebooks Pro is targeted at the growing number of notebook PC users. Logitech exercised great care with every detail in order to meet the unique needs of this audience. The sleek, elegant design looks great whether it's in use in the living room, the conference room, or the hotel room. It features brushed aluminum material on the face of the webcam body, accenting the piano black surfaces on the lens housing, camera sides, and clip. Its innovative spring-loaded clip is simple to mount on a notebook display, even with one hand. The webcam body pivots forward and back, making the lens angle easy to adjust to cover a subject of any height. The design also allows the lens to reside just above the notebook display, improving eye-to-eye contact during video calls. When it's time to travel, the webcam is protected by a coal-black, semi-rigid case that stows away nicely in a laptop bag or briefcase.

The Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Pro webcam features an ultra-wide field-of-view lens, which provides 78 degrees of visibility -- making it convenient for an entire family to join a video call. The webcam can capture still images at resolutions of up to 1.3 megapixels without software enhancement, or up to 4 megapixels with software enhancement. The QuickCam for Notebooks Pro webcam is also certified to support the faster data rates of Hi-Speed USB.

The Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Pro webcam will be available within a few days for $99.99 .
