Earlier this year, Microsoft acquired GitHub and the software giant is already putting the acquisition to good use by open sourcing some of its early software. You can now find the source code of both MS-DOS version 1.25 and version 2.0 on this GitHub.

These files were open sourced before, but publishing them on GitHub makes them easier to find and use.
This repo contains the original source-code and compiled binaries for MS-DOS v1.25 and MS-DOS v2.0.

These are the same files originally shared at the Computer History Museum on March 25th, 2014 and are being (re)published in this repo to make them easier to find, reference-to in external writing and works, and to allow exploration and experimentation for those interested in early PC Operating Systems.
