der8auer tries to passively cool Intel Core i9-9900K (video)

Not a lot of news to write about, so here's another fun video. German overclocker der8auer decided to investigate whether it's possible to passively cool the Intel Core i9-9900K. He paired the CPU with the Arctic Alpine 12 Passive cooler, which is rated at just 47W.

In idle mode the 9900K hit a temperature of 50°C and during stress tests it throttled heavily to stay within its thermal limits. With some undervolting and underclocking it's definitely possible to passively cool the chip, but you're definitely not maxing out its performance, which kinda defeats the purpose of a flagship CPU.
